Raisin
Baby Boy the Prince
Raisin, affectionately known as "Baby Boy the Prince" when he was younger, is FPAS's very own "COVID baby," born in 2020 while the sanctuary was closed to visitors. His arrival was a surprise from Olive, who had been rescued just a month earlier along with her little piglet, Pickles, who was old enough to be weaned and neutered upon arrival. Skye initially thought Olive's roundness was due to her recent pregnancy, but just days before Raisin's surprise birth, it became clear she was actually expecting. Still in quarantine, her enclosure became a maternity ward.
Raisin was born as a single piglet, just like his brother Pickles, which is quite uncommon for pigs. He was a tiny, precious little thing and had some trouble nursing at first, causing him to lose weight. Skye and Summer supplemented his diet with goat's milk for a few days until he began getting enough from his mom, and before long, Raisin turned into a chunky little boy, quickly catching up to and even at one point surpassing his slightly older brother, Pickles.
Full of personality, Raisin is incredibly sweet and lives happily with Pickles in the main herd, known as "Gen Pop." As soon as he was weaned to came to live up at the house with his brother and they remain best friends to this day.
