Potato

In early December 2019, just before midnight, Potato arrived at FPAS alongside his brother Pumpkin after making the long journey from Oregon to South Carolina and finally to South Georgia. Rescued as part of the PNW 250 Pig Rescue, they were just two of the many pigs saved from a severe hoarding and neglect case, finding a safe and loving forever home at FPAS.

Potato is the more reserved of the pair; while he isn't shy, he simply doesn’t seek out human attention compared to his social butterfly of a brother. Estimated to be around 1.5 years old when he arrived, Potato just gets more easygoing each year. He is laid-back and enjoys spending time with his brother Pumpkin and the younger pigs, Tofu and Sprout. Known as the lazy one of the group, he likes taking it easy and can usually be found lounging in the pig barn or snoozing in the shade of the trees, like the true lazy potato he is. Potato’s laid-back demeanor and calm presence make him a beloved resident of FPAS, where big pigs like him are truly friends, not food.
