Moonbeam

Moonbeam was born on a goat farm with a twin sibling, and as a result, his mom didn't let him nurse. He was bottle fed by the farmer who became attached to him, but when they didn’t have time to give Moonbeam the proper care he needed they contacted us about providing him with a forever home.

Moonbeam is a Kiko/Boer cross which are both goat breeds typically used for meat. Because of this, he is very lucky to have made it here where he can live his life to the fullest. Kikos and Boers are also usually larger sized breeds, but Moonbeam remains on the small side for his breeding. He is a very talented jumper and used to take every opportunity he could to jump our fence into the front yard so he can eat all the plants in our garden. We have since fenced in a large portion of the property for the goats featuring hot wire to discourage fence climbing and jumping. This has made a world or change in containing our little escape artist!

While he is currently our youngest goat resident, he is definitely the most dominant, and is "Top Dog" in our small goat tribe.
